Gary V is often heard saying this and I have decided to test it out.

As Issac Newton said:

“If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.”

So why not I try and stand on the shoulder of a giant and see where that leads me?

Rather than telling you what I work on, I’ll share with you how I work on myself?

It all starts with the approach of Kaizen.

I heard Tony Robbins say it the first time but I didn’t pay much attention to it at first.

It was only when Jason Capital recommended in all his programs and books that I took this approach .

What does Kaizen mean?

Kaizen is a Japanese business philosophy of continuous improvement of working practices, personal efficiency, etc.

And you have got to hand it to the Japanese, the oldest existing businesses in the world belong to Japanese and some of their business development plans are 100 years long!

Coming back to the point, I have incorporated the Kaizen approach in my life by working 2–3 skills that I want to improve daily.

This means there are no breaks, no weekends, everything else is on hold, in fact, I don’t even start doing any business work until I am done with my Kaizen time.

I am where I am by continuously investing in myself, in my business and in my mindset.

If I don’t make it a priority and don’t do it first thing in the morning then I will lag behind and I would hate that.

How can you incorporate Kaizen?

Pick 1–3 areas in your life and start getting better at them daily for 30 mins to 60 mins.

Learn as much as you can about that subject and you will keep getting better.

I can’t tell you which areas you should work on because everyone is different but I definitely recommend working on your mindset.

As Earl Nightingale said,

“One hour per day of study in your chosen field is all it takes. One hour per day of study will put you at the top of your field within three years. Within five years you’ll be a national authority. In seven years, you can be one of the best people in the world at what you do.”

Use Kaizen and become the best in the world!
